Camouflage animals

My Grade 1 students had a lot of fun exploring how animals colours camouflage them to their environment. So we actually use the animal fur texture as their background. Fun was had by all.

My Grade 1 students wanted to learn about seasonal changes. And so we have created these watercolour paintings using masking tape, frisket and japanese ink. Enjoy!

Day 1 Amazing art

Hey art fans,
I really wanted to share some of the work that my students and myself have created in this school year. I'm always amazed at the talent and creativity of younger children. They remain fearless of unfamiliar circumstances. Anyways on with the show. I'm going to post the piece of art that I created to inspire them first and then you can follow along with their work and note their attempts at recreating my techniques. I'll start with Grade 3 work.
